Body Painting Festival Asian awards Daegu

The “World Bodypainting Festival” is the largest Art event in the Bodypainting theme and spreads the artform to thousands of interested visitors each year, since its first event in Seeboden Austria, in 1998.

There will be also two special awards for the Festival in Daegu, WBF Show Award that will be presented on the final day when the audience chooses their favourite. The prize is a cash prize of 750.000 Won in cash (approx. 500 €uro). Other special award is the Bodypainting Model of Asia Award that will goes to the model who expreses and presents their bodypainting most successfuly.

Now the Festival is expanding to meet the demands of the ever growing industry and, with South Korea as the host for the second event this year. The World Bodypainting Festival with the Asian Awards for the first time was held in ‘Colorful Daegu’ in the World Cup Stadium in Daegu, South Korea from 25 – 31 August 2008.

This first Asian event in Daegu hopefully will connect the rapidly growing asian bodypainting industry to its partners all around the world. The competition will be held for the first time in the categories for Professional and also for Semi Profesional. The facepainting category is also separated into “classic” and Special Effects Make Up.
